PEGGY STRAND
As Vice President of the Peninsula Shepherd Center and Chair of the Board of Trustees of Meals on Wheels San Diego County, Peggy Strand has a passion for helping seniors age in place in their own homes. From providing transportation to appointments and grocery shopping to making sure seniors receive a wellness check when nutritious meals are delivered, Peggy understands the importance of the social interaction and the reduction in isolation that are so important to healthy aging. As governmental funding sources for senior services are trimmed, both PSC and MOWSDC will continue to provide seniors with assistance in living independently. Peggy is a retired attorney.
KIMBERLY PLATT
Kimberly is a Point Loma/Ocean Beach Native. She raised her family in Point Loma and has been active in her support for Peninsula Shepherd Center for about a decade before she joined the board in 2018 and became Treasurer in 2019. Kimberly has more than 35 years of multi-faceted real estate experience and currently works for Willis Allen Real Estate in Point Loma. She became a Seniors Real Estate Specialist and always advocates for her clients in their real estate transactions. In her free time Kimberly and her husband enjoy spending time with their 6 grandchildren and walking their dog, Bosco. Peninsula Shepherd Center is special to Kimberly because she has seen how instrumental PSC is in providing the transportation and socialization link that is so vital for our area seniors to not feel isolated or alone.
