
LISA NOKES
Executive Director
Lisa has been with The Peninsula Shepherd Center since October of 2018. She comes to PSC with six years of leadership and fundraising experience in Non-Profits. Previously, Lisa had over 20 years as an executive officer in the mortgage industry. She played a key role in three national financial services start ups which led to initial public offerings. Lisa has twin daughters and cherishes her time with her family. She is actively involved in her church and relaxes by cooking for family and friends. Lisa is inspired by the members of PSC and looks to continue to expand opportunities for seniors in the Peninsula communities.
DAVID MCCOLL
PSC Technology Volunteer
David has been helping at the Peninsula Shepherd Center since 2019. Raised in Vancouver Canada, David received his BS in Engineering From Queen's University, Ontario, Canada, and then came to California for graduate work at UC Berkeley. After 35 years of science and engineering projects David "retired", got another degree in Education, and currently tutors community college student in STEM subjects. Thru his involvement with All Souls church, he started a series of technology/computer classes for Seniors. When covid forced the center to take its programs online, David helped set up the Zoom meetings for presentations and helps seniors get connected by setting up their tablets/computers at home. Currently David hosts bi-monthly technology presentations and ask-me-anything sessions.
ELOISE TAPIA
Point Loma Nazarene University Intern
Eloise Tapia is our intern for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023. She is a senior at Point Loma Nazarene University and is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Originally from Glendora, CA, Eloise is passionate about combating ageism and reaching out to older adults in the peninsula community. In the past year she has gained experience volunteering at a local assisted living home and is excited for this opportunity here at PSSC.
JIM DONAHUE
PSC Lounge Volunteer
Jim has been with The Peninsula Shepherd Center since 2016. He grew up in Washington State and graduated from Biola University. He went to seminary in Denver where he received a Masters and then on to National University for another Masters Degree. Jim is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a licensed Minister of the Gospel. Jim loves to read and is a news junkie. Jim's folks in the Senior Lounge love his sense of humor, enjoy hearing about his experiences and describe Jim as kind, open to new ideas and a great listener.
KATHY ANGELA QUEJADO
Office & Program Coordinator
Kathy has been with Peninsula Shepherd Center since April 2022. Before coming to PSC, Kathy was also a Certified Nursing Assistant for three and a half years in a skilled nursing facility. Through her time there, she witnessed first-hand the impacts of the pandemic on seniors and their well being. With an Associate's of Arts in Preparation for Allied Health Programs from Southwestern College, Kathy also has a lot of experience serving the Filipino American community in San Diego. Kathy is also a part of Pilipino American Unity for Progress (UniPro) San Diego Chapter as the Human Resources Director. She has also held the positions of Secretary and High School Liaison. For their annual Summit conference in 2018, Kathy was one of the panelists for their guest speakers. Kathy aspires to pursue a bachelor's and master's degree in social work.
