LISA NOKES

Director ejecutivo

Lisa ha estado con The Peninsula Shepherd Center desde octubre de 2018. Llega a PSC con seis años de experiencia en liderazgo y recaudación de fondos en organizaciones sin fines de lucro. Anteriormente, Lisa tenía más de 20 años como directora ejecutiva en la industria hipotecaria. Desempeñó un papel clave en tres empresas emergentes de servicios financieros nacionales que llevaron a ofertas públicas iniciales. Lisa tiene dos hijas gemelas y aprecia el tiempo que pasa con su familia. Ella participa activamente en su iglesia y se relaja cocinando para familiares y amigos. Lisa se inspira en los miembros de PSC y busca continuar ampliando las oportunidades para las personas mayores en las comunidades de Peninsula.

DAVID MCCOLL

PSC Technology Volunteer

David has been helping at the Peninsula Shepherd Center since 2019. Raised in Vancouver Canada, David received his BS in Engineering From Queen's University, Ontario, Canada, and then came to California for graduate work at UC Berkeley. After 35 years of science and engineering projects David "retired", got another degree in Education, and currently tutors community college student in STEM subjects. Thru his involvement with All Souls church, he started a series of technology/computer classes for Seniors. When covid forced the center to take its programs online, David helped set up the Zoom meetings for presentations and helps seniors get connected by setting up their tablets/computers at home. Currently David hosts bi-monthly technology presentations and ask-me-anything sessions.

JOSEPH RODELA

PLNU Intern

 I am a student at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) currently in my senior year planning to graduate this year with a degree in sociology. I was born and have lived ever since here in San Diego, more specifically in Point Loma. I Wish to help create more awareness of the growing adults over the age of 60 population that is arising in San Diego and the community around me. Always willing to be a listening ear to my peers and loves to play any type of board game that comes my way! Have a history of playing the violin for about 8 years and I really enjoy listening to music.

JIM DONAHUE

Voluntario de PSC Lounge

Jim ha estado en The Peninsula Shepherd Center desde 2016. Creció en el estado de Washington y se graduó de la Universidad de Biola.  Fue al seminario en Denver donde recibió una maestría y luego a la Universidad Nacional para otra maestría. Jim es un terapeuta matrimonial y familiar con licencia y un  Ministro del Evangelio. A Jim le encanta leer y es un adicto a las noticias.  A la gente de Jim en el Senior Lounge les encanta su sentido del humor, disfrutan escuchando sus experiencias y describen a Jim como amable, abierto a nuevas ideas y un gran oyente.

LAUREN TAYLOR

Office & Program Coordinator

Lauren has been acting as our Program Coordinator since February, 2024. Born and raised in sunny San Diego, Lauren received her Bachelor of Arts in Technical and Professional Writing from San Francisco State and later explored a career in education assisting students with learning disabilities excel in their school work. Lauren's volunteer experience spans from marketing and communication for local art galleries, to engaging with San Diego's youth and disadvantaged communities in times of need and environmental compromise. In her free time Lauren enjoys writing poetry, attending local clothing and art markets, and sharpening her skillsets in professional writing.
